Gondolin Records' press release:
"GON123: Gothmog - Medieval Journeys
Raw epic dungeon synth classic from the 1990s. A mysterious lofi medievalism is coupled with black bombastic atmospheres and strong cathartic moments for the solitary journey to a long forgotten past. Gothmog is the dark atmospheric solo project of RAL from Depressive Silence and Mightiest. 'Medieval Journeys' was the only release of the project, which only saw limited proliferation with an underground tape release in 1998. It has since become one of the most highly regarded albums of enigmatic electronic music from the 2nd wave black metal scene.
As it has now been 25 years since the release, it seems fitting to do this reissue in a similar way as the 2021 reissues (GON072 and GON078) of Solanum - the solo project of the other member of Depressive Silence: The full album on the A-side, and newer interpretations on the B-side; this time Lord Bakartia, Taagebue, Arthuros and A Spell Enraged."
